Investing and doing deals in Angola, Zimbabwe, Namibia, South Africa, Nigeria and the DRC

For clients who want to invest or trade in six African countries. Vektron finds the projects, checks the counterparties and confirms meetings with the people who decide. Vektron handles the visit logistics.

Who it is for

Companies and investors in energy, commodities, infrastructure financing and industry with a defined interest in one or more of the six countries.

What a first visit depends on

A first visit is worth the meetings confirmed before the flight. Vektron confirms them with the decision-makers in advance. Project lists in these markets are incomplete and company records sit in separate registries, so the groundwork is done before anyone travels.

What Vektron does

We build a long list of companies and projects that fit the client's brief from public registries, tender portals, government gazettes and trade press, then cut it to a target list agreed with the client.

Each target is checked against public records: published ownership, litigation, sanctions lists and press history.

We approach the decision-maker at each target in writing and by phone, and keep contact until a meeting is set or the target declines.

We set the meeting schedule and the in-country visit plan, and introduce local law firms and auditors.

What stays with the client

Negotiation, contract, payment and the decision to invest. Vektron does not hold funds or act as agent in any transaction.

Timeframe

Target list within three weeks. Transactions in these industries can take 6 to 18 months to close.

Countries

Each of the six countries has its own hub page, with a page for each industry beneath it.
